If we tell you that the dynamics for how human beings shop now is changing, wouldn’t you agree with us? What that implies is that, as time goes on, the need to shop online will continue to increase as the days go bye.
One of the major challenges with shopping online today are the issues relating to payments. it is such that most buyers do not like to make payments for goods they have not seen; hence the need for payment on delivery. On the other side, the sellers too are careful, with moving their goods to prospective buyers, who they are not really sure of their identity; whether they want to really buy or in some instances, whether they might even be armed robbers, parading to be legitimate people. These are major concerns.
If we must be honest with you, there are companies today, that are trying so hard to bridge that payment gap problem, ensuring that they offer “Pay on Delivery” service. What this means is that, they would take the goods to the prospective buyer and take the risk off the both buying and selling parties, so that the buyers can see what they want to pay for. Once the prospective buyer is satisfied, they give the product the the buyer and collect the money on behalf of the seller. Isn’t this a smooth transaction? Yes it is. As time goes on, this process will only get better and become seamless. It might also interest you to know, that we are in talks with one of the biggest commercial banks in Nigeria. They are about to launch an Escrow payment service, whereby a willing buyer can deposit their money into the escrow account and the seller fulfills the transaction. Once the buyer is satisfied with the product, they instruct the bank to release the funds into the seller’s account. You can be rest assured this is the best time to position for this revolution that is about to take place. Whether we like it or not, the need for e-commerce has come to stay, so don’t be caught napping.
Can we also remind you that the Federal Government has increased the price of fuel astronomically? The implication of this, is that, this would reduce the movement of people. People will not throng your offline shop the way they used to do. We are almost so sure that you are already having that experience and you are asking what can you do, to increase your sales despite all these challenges. Guess what? The solution to this problem is E-commerce. What does E-commerce mean? Simply put, it is time to take that your trading business to electronic (online) platform. As at today, people spend majority of their time on their mobile phones’ including you. If you have a product today and you are not online, you will be leaving a lot of money on the table. If you have any product you are selling today, you must put it on mobile phones for your customers to see wherever they are. The truth is that, mobile phones are the new shops today, not that your offline shop.
The interesting thing is that, for some businesses, they have their businesses on social media and in most cases make posts on WhatsApp and their timelines. This is ofcourse a good idea, but it is also not sustainable, because posting products on social media and WhatsApp status is posting to only people that know you, what of capturing new customers? again, these people that know you, what if they do not remember the name of your business page? The question again is, how do you attract new customers who do not know you, when you only have your products on social media?
Its important you know that, as you have your store (offline), in the location where it is, that store can be replicated online, with all the products you offer. The beauty of this is that now, rather than just sell to those who pass through your physical shop, friends and referrals, now you can attract a global market. Why do you think if you have a product in a Lagos shop, someone cannot buy from you from Kano? The only way this can happen is through an electronic commerce platform.
Our dear prospective client, can we help you take on this transition of your business from offline to online business? Can we help you change your sales story; while you are currently selling to only your locals, you can be talking of selling across the globe?
If this is the type of success story is what you want going forward, we would be happy to help make this happen for your business.
In doing this, we have put together different packages for you, depending on what you want and at what level your business is at the moment.
